Using my design practice to build Queer Traffic allowed me to further explore my queer identity
—
Queer Traffic is a community run social event.
Once a month, on every third wednesday, we take over the back patio of a local food hall to produce an evening
of low-pressure crafts, puzzles, bingo, and trivia.
An alternative to relying on clubs and bars and drinking
to experience life with
other LGBTQ+ family.
Artwork for flyers/social became an introspective challenge that I would look forward to
Artwork was inspired by the
1978 Pride Flag created by

QT was intentionally envisioned to be an ever-adapting event—people show up and ~vibe and make it what they needed it to become.
QT more or less became a real life manifestation or extension of my Senior Thesis: HUMAN
So... I suppose what I’ve learned is:
design the world you want to live in.
